rimturseIt's 11:30 and I'm ready for a nap, but I can't because someone is dropping by to check our sewage pump, which is making strange noises - at least I think it's the pump. *yaaaaawn*
Went to bed at 1:00, got up at 7:45 to call the vet during telephone hours. He didn't want to see Murph or Orlando, but Murp is going on a special diet and we should keep an eye on Orlando's lump, which I believe is getting smaller.
Since I was up, I took Lia for her morning walk, and since we were out and about, I began digging the kitchen garden, which was somewhat complicated by an old road running along the edge of it, which means loads and loads of stones under the toplayer of soil, most of the size of my fist or bigger. I'll use the stones for the path, but they are certainly a nuisance at this point. Another nuisance was the ever helpful Lia, happily pouncing on the soil as I tipped it up with the spade, and trying to grab the weeds, while I yanked them.
At least she was activated and we now have a very quiet and tired dog on our hands.
And the old road? Right now it's covered by grass and weeds, but I'm thinking of covering it with heather and lavender.
