Exhausted...

rimturseWent to town to sort all the misc. business. Went to the Einwohneramt, paid my bills. Walked around for 2 hours trying to find a dress for S&T's wedding. Just when I was about to give up, I saw one...it fitted perfectly (read it doesn't reveal my broad hips), but it is expensive and I'm worried that it might be too fancy. I miss my girlfriends...I don't like shopping in general, but I REALLY don't like shopping on my own. Today certainly brought home how much time I spend alone. Am feeling homesick and sorry for myself.
Once the idea of taking in a "second hand" dog was planted in my mind, it just doesn't want to go away. One week ago I had never even considered it and today I spent 2 hours online surfing through the homepages of animal shelters. There were A LOT of mixed breeds, A LOT of alsatians, A LOT of muscledogs and herd-protection-dog. Not a lot of Belgian Shepherds and even less that fitted my requirements, but I might have found one:
A 6 year old Tervueren bitch, spayed, used to cats and children, gets along well with other dogs, but needs firm handling.
This could've been a description of my old dog! Apart from being spayed, that is. I'll have to check that further. I'm going to ask C to check with the new apartment if we can take in an adult dog (animals are allowed and they've had no objections to the cats) and then we can perhaps go see her.

Oh...did I mention that my new apartment will have no less than 4 rooms? Plenty of room for guests *hint hint*.
