Apart from that, I had a productive day. Did a review, packed and sent orders, earthed up the potatoes, watered plants, took photos to make a garden collage and exercised the dog. I also ate like a little piggy.
Still need to feed the husband and animals and hang up laundry, plus the kitchen looks like a bombsite.

Date: 2009-05-23 10:35 am (UTC)It was in the Danish dog discussion group, I'm a member of.
The whole issue is long and complicated, but it's about amstaffs and bully dog breeds, and it's a huge topic in the policial world and the dog world at the moment, because there has been a string of attacks by these breeds, where they kill other dogs, cats, rabbit and rip up livestock and owners trying to protect their animals.
This has created a whole new breed of people, the amstaff and bully dog owner whiiiiner, who refuses to realize what kind of dog he owns. Their main arguments in the discussion is that "LABRADORS CAN ALSO BITE!" and "EVERY DOG CAN BE MADE INTO A FIGHTING DOG. EVEN A CHIHUAHUA! IT'S A QUESTION OF NUTURE, NATURE HAS NO SAY AT ALL!" and every time there is a bite incident with another breed of dog, they pop up like daisies to point out that "LOOK! THIS BREED OF DOG CAN ALSO BITE!".
It was one of the latter case of whining, I commented on yesterday in a case where a Jack Russel Terrier had attacked another dog (no physical damage done), just couldn't help but remark how interesting it was that no Jack Russel owners had come forward to point out that "A LABRADOR CAN ALSO BITE!". :p
