Jam again.
Jul. 10th, 2009 10:01 amI made jam again yesterday. This time strawberry-rhubarb jam with vanilla. It looked a bit odd as I was cooking it, so I had mentally prepared myself for total fail and hours of wasted work, but it turned out really tasty. :)
I like making jam. It's so worth the effort and home-made jam tastes better than store bought, plus it's not filled with preservatives. The only problem with jam making is that its time consuming and tends to take up 40-50% of my daily energy ration.
Alas, today the real world calls. I need to work, finish chapter 6 of Elpida, do housework, order jewellery material and start planning/making jewellery and what beads to take for next week's Wednesday's Market.

Date: 2009-07-10 02:05 pm (UTC)It is also worth making blackcurrent jam. This is really useful in winter, around January, when your immune system needs a boost, as it is crammed with vitamin C.
I wish you would finish chapter 6. I am waiting to read more of your book.

Managed to finish chapter 6. I'll try to post chapter 3 and 4 this weekend as soon as I've caught up with return reviews.
