This and that...
Jul. 21st, 2009 12:33 amLJ's messing with me - redirecting me to a black and white profile pic instead of to the "post" section.
Feeling better now and much less grumpy, but overdoing it on post-injection day resulted in 5 sick days instead of 1. This is part of the reason why I get so hysterical when I'm not able to take it easy on those days, because I know I'll be punished for it. And joy oh joy. It's injection day again.
The week was stressful and generally horrid, but not without its highlights. Lia finally seems to be getting the general idea of the whole walk nicely thing (she can heel, but that's not the same), and the other evening, I saw a flock of swallows chase a small hawk, which was a complete novelty to me. I know crows, ravens etc. harass birds of prey and see it quite regularly, but the swallows were a first.
I made 8 pairs of earrings and sold some jewellery at the market, also brought along an assortment of semi-precious stone strands to advertise for the bead shop, and managed to befuddle a Swedish couple by speaking German to them. :p
C prepared 1,5 kgs of cherries and we made cherry jam. We haven't tasted it yet, but it looks more like cherries in a sauce than jam.
Drove to Herning and had lunch with a my "jinxed-meetings" friend. I also bumped into my ex's stepmom, Merethe, and had a nice chat with her. That's the only thing I miss from that relationship: the in-laws.
Last Sunday my parents came with an assortment of exotic fruit flown in directly from Thailand, so we've been munching all week: mango, mangosteen, langsat, rambutan, roseapple, but thankfully no durian.
