I'm still in the middle of the move and really don't have time to blog, but I just had to write down this horrendous nightmare:
I'm at a huge dinner party. I'm surrounded by friends and family, but also strangers. We sit at round cafe tables, long tables and wooden benches. There are bowls of salad, iced water, wine, softdrinks. One of the guests will serve as the main course. I'm not worried that they will pick me, I guess, I don't believe this is really happening (well, it wasn't, but you know what I mean). Then suddenly they put a body on the table. She's face down, I remember thinking that she had pretty calves and feet. Her hair is dark. They start to cut her in pieces, severing the head, and the legs from the torso. I am wondering why there isn't any blood. Beside me, my cousin whispers: "Are you okay with this? I mean..." I turn to look at her and suddenly realize that the corpse on the table is someone I know. As they turn her around I see who.
"It's okay," my aunt tells me. "She wanted to do it." - I wake up retching. Then I wake up C to tell him I had a nightmare (poor guy).

Date: 2004-07-09 09:00 am (UTC)Probably you need to sit down and relax with a nice cup/glass of whatever you like to drink that relaxes you, and pray/meditate, whichever you like to do. Read some nice poems before bedtime, or listen to soft classical music. Hopefully you can get all the badness away before bedtime comes again.
I know how you feel, though. I get bad dreams, too. Nothing like that, though!

Date: 2004-07-09 10:10 am (UTC)Perhaps you're feeling all eaten up by this move? I'm sure you must be exhausted.
Good luck with the rest of the move and hope you feel better.

Date: 2004-07-12 04:44 am (UTC)Thanks for the reassurance, I was beginning to worry about the murky depths of my mind. Perhaps I should be writing horror instead of fantasy.
