Looks can be deceiving...

I was introduced to a sweet Polish neighbour the other day. She apparently takes one look at me and decides I'm also an expat. So there we are one group of women talking and suddenly:

Polish neighbour: "Where did you learn Danish?!!!!"
Me: "Do you think my Danish is good?"
Polish neighbour: "It's perfect! I can't hear any accent at all!"

That said, her Danish is pretty impressive as well. :)

I find out that you could see which one is Danish and which one is not (despite the looks) only based on the clothing. At least that's what I did in Copenhagen (since there are a lot of adopted kids - at least you look part Danish - these people look pure Asian)

You have a point! Especially with the kids. One of my class mates told me 20 years after we started first grade that he still had not forgotten what I wore on the first day of school. *lol*
