Warning - RANT!

I HATE the Swiss garbage system! Hate it, loathe it, despise it, resent it! We have something like 30 degrees in the apartment and have to keep the garbage inside for 1 week. The cat litter is already pungent, I empty the tray regularly, wrap up the waste in plastic bags and put them in a special bin in the bathroom, I also use various odour reducing chemicals.

So...tomorrow is garbage day, I take out the garbage, and the water melon skin that C threw out a few days ago has liquified and is dripping out of the bag (they are not water proof). The stench is vile! Words better not repeated in a public journal were uttered in several languages. I try to put it into another bag, but am gagging so much that I cannot continue and C has to help. After throwing up and with my nose wrapped in a cloth I start washing the kitchen floor and the bin. Afterward, I start cleaning the cat tray and knock over the *$(£"))%&£* container of Ajax, which I used to clean the floor with = have to wash the bathroom floor as well.

It has not been a good evening - and now I'm going to take a shower!

Ewwwwwww. My sympathies. I Hate Cat Litter and Trash Bins. I Hate rotten watermelons. It's the potatoes that usually get me and it takes a lot to get my gag reflex up.

I'm quite okay with potatoes. The worst was once I went away for 4 weeks, had a house sitter; told her she could just raid the fridge and breadbox - and what she didn't want, just throw away. Well, she didn't eat anything and she didn't throw anything away. Meat left for 4 weeks in the fridge is the worst! Not to mention the breadbox being filled with a fuzzy greenish blue mold. It was really no surprise that lots of worse things happened - I lost a pet and came home to a house crawling with fleas.
