Post injection day and I just came back from the doctor after getting an flu vaccination - regular one only, I don't know if I'm allowed to get the H1N1 vaccination, have to ask at my next appointment with the neurologist.

And...knock wood...I feel fine for the second week in a row. Just a bit cold and tired, but that's okay. The weather is also playing along, a bit windy, but bright sunshine and not too cold, so Lia and I will be making the most of it before sunset, which is around 15:50 at this time of year.

EDIT: It's 16:30 and dark. We didn't make it out before it started raining. Serves me right for trying to stall the exercise so that the dog will not regain too much energy before evening. So it was a quick walk in the rain, indoor brain work/trick training and some serious grooming, brushing off all the loose undercoat from Lia's fur - one day I'll make a dog sweater.

Shoulder where I got the vaccination is a bit sore, but still feel fine!

You might be, what with already having a chronic condition. They might regard you as 'weakened'. So it's really just a question of whether or not you're weakened enough.

We're being offered one, which rather surprised me. Hospital, yes, but I didn't think we were essential enough at our lab. Probably just blanket offering to the entire hospital. I imagine it's easier then the administration of figuring out who's more important. I just thought they'd give it to people wtih patient contact first, you know?

I read the list and I'm probably not weakened enough. Also there are some vaccines I'm not allowed to take, because they can provoke my aggressive immunesystem.

It would take a couple of weeks for it to be fully protective anyway, and they say it's supposed to be topping around the 5th-6th of december, so at this point, if you're not vaccinated tomorrow, it might be too late anyway.

I'll probably just wait it out and hope for the best.
