Example:
Question: What is a Chiton?
Answer: There is no such thing as a Chiton.
Aaaaarrrrgh....shut up! Shut up! Shut up! At least do a quick google search before spewing such nonsense! OR you could say "Are you sure there's such a thing as a Chiton? I've never heard of it before." - either would work. Thank you.

I think it might also refer to the strengthening element in insects carapaces, or exoskeletons, but I would have to look this one up to be sure.
