Me, the junkie.

After cutting down on the pain killers last week and consequently feeling like I'd been run over by a truck, I decided not to repeat that particular experiment. So, took a "cocktail" right after taking my injection last night and another one right after waking up. This is the first time I've done two cocktails, usually I do one and then maybe take a couple of panadols in the morning.

The difference between today and last Monday? Huge. Slept like a baby, woke up with a headache, but that went away with the second round of painkillers, and otherwise I've only felt a bit cold. Even exercised the dog and did some gardening for 2 hours without being punished for it.

At least your medicine intake is controlled.

That's wonderful for you though. :)

Yeah, I try not to take too many meds. I cut out the ipren tablet last week, because there have been so many articles lately about how bad ibuprofen is, plus the doctor and nurse at Herning Hospital asked why I took so many painkillers (usually 2-4 panadols + 1 ipren/week) and questioned me about it with very concerned expressions on their faces, which made me quite uncomfortable about the whole thing.

But it's all a matter of weighing up advantages and disadvantages, I guess.

Well, yeah, but it's not like it's something you take for average every-day discomfort either. Still it was probably a good idea to try and change the structure of it. If nothing esle than to weed out any sort of self-enforcing side-effects.

I wish I could take ibuprofen when I get cramps though. They work awesomely, but unfortunately they won't stay down. :/

They do. I'd never taken ibuprofen before my MS nurse suggested this combination, but they really take the joint pain and aches that the paracetamol don't.

I've heard about people not being able to keep them down, though. :(

Yeah, I've had that result twice now, so I've stopped trying. They did have time to work before making a return visit, but I thought it was a fairly high price to pay.
