Chapter 5 is a bloody struggle. I'm considering some serious snipping, more so than I've done already, but will post to the workshop first to see the reader response to that. Now, if I had known about writing before starting this story, I would have written down the story progress and not just stumbled blindly hither and dither. Then I wouldn't have had this problems now. Lesson learned.

Went ahead and snipped anyway. 10.000 words boiled down to approx. 3.500. Posted to the workshop to get reactions. The chapter still needs a lot of work, and I might have to add some of the snipped parts back, but at least the tracks have been laid.
