The dead babies case in Germany makes my tongue swell and puts a lump in my throat. For once I'm speechless, uncomprehending.

I've been putting together bead orders all day so that we can restock before the October rush. Putting together orders always turns my brain into soft squiggly mush. I'm trying to juggle all the bead types in my head and since we're changing deliverers, there are a lot of decisions to be made. Do I replace White Quartz with White Jade? Can I take out one of jades from our stock? Do we have enough pink and blue colours? Should I order new bead types? On the other hand it's lots of fun. It is like online shopping only I'm not buying what I like, but what I think or know the customers will like. My favourite stones the muted ones like Grey Onyx and Picasso Jasper, whereas the customers go for the more colourful ones. :)

Our August deliveries are delayed because of the floodings in India. I need to update the shop anyhow, perhaps I should spend tomorrow making Fimo beads and pendants. The pendants are all sold out and there are not many beads left...

Tonight we're going shopping to get materials to make a light table. It will save me loads of time when it comes to transferring my sketches onto drawing paper. A noble investment!

I have been worrying about a family member lately, but have now come to the conclusion that when someone doesn't want to change their situation and does not want to be helped, well, then there's really nothing much you can do about it. You can of course try to pick up the pieces, but there is not much point when the person insists on shattering them all again as soon as you've glued them together.
