...hell hath frozen over. It began with a tinge of cold a week ago, then the breath of those little demons watching the pit of minor offences started misting. Soon icicles hung from manacles and even most-evil-overlord himself could be seen wearing home-knitted socks.

I am bored with the internet.

No, I'm not bored with you, I still enjoy reading blogs, being an active member of the OWW and reading various online newspapers, I will of course also still be working, but I'm slowly extricating myself from various forums and discussion groups, and even online games that require my full attention now feel like performing a tedious task instead of entertainment.

My otherwise insatiable curiosity, which the net usually satisfies for me, also seems to have reached a point where I can relax and merely use the www as an encyclopedia and source of information, I no longer become entagled in the web of knowledge, where I when researching one topic, become engaged in another topic, leading to a third, so that in the end I'm eagerly learning about something I ordinarily would have absolutely no interest in; like how a car engine works in detail. Now knowledge is not a bad thing, but getting trapped like that has been terribly timeconsuming.

The addiction is over.

We have a cuckoo! I'm so excited!

Of course I knew there were cuckoos in Denmark, I just can't recall ever hearing one and I'm pleasantly surprised, it's a lovely, lovely sound.

I just love bird song, even the krrraaaa of the crow, which reminds me of winter and dark days. The only sound I'm not keen on is cooing of the pigeon that likes to sit the tree outside our bedroom when it starts to brighten, which in Denmark is around 03:30. It's not so much the sound itself, but that he's inconsistent:

cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo...crouuuuuu
cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo...crouuuuuu
cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo...crouuuuuu
cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo, cooo-cruuu-cooo...crouuuuuu

Sometimes he co-cru-cooos twice, other times thrice, occasionally four times in a row...and you're just lying there waiting for the other shoe to drop or rather the next co-cru-co. It's utterly frustrating. I'm tempted to eat him.
